1. About us
Pizza & Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online retailer of fresh Neapolitan dough balls and pizza party kits. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
2. Our products
Pizza & Co sells products including:
- Neapolitan slow-proved dough balls (frozen or semi-frozen)
- Pizza party kits
Our products are perishable food items made with Italian Tipo 0 flour and prepared fresh to order. They must be handled, stored, and consumed in accordance with the instructions provided with your order.
3. Placing an order
3.1 How to order
Orders may be placed through our website. Once you submit your order, you will receive an automated order confirmation email. This email is an acknowledgement that we have received your order and does not constitute acceptance of it.
3.2 Order acceptance
Your order is accepted, and a binding contract formed, only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where products are unavailable or where we suspect fraudulent activity.
3.3 Order cut-off time
To receive next-day delivery, orders must be placed by 11:00am (GMT/BST) on a working day. Orders placed after 11:00am will be processed on the following working day. All orders placed on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be processed on a Monday, dispatched on a Tuesday.
4. Cancellations & changes
Due to the perishable nature of our products and the speed at which we prepare and dispatch orders, we are unable to accept cancellations or amendments once an order has been accepted. Please review your order carefully before confirming your purchase.
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods (see section 8).
5. Delivery
5.1 Next-day delivery
We offer next-day delivery on all orders placed before 11:00am Monday to Thursday (excluding UK public holidays). Orders are dispatched in insulated packaging with gel ice packs to ensure freshness.
5.2 Weekend deliveries
We do not offer Saturday or Sunday deliveries. Orders placed on a Friday before 11:00am will be delivered the following Tuesday. Orders placed after 11:00am on a Friday, or at any time over the weekend, will be dispatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery.
5.3 Delivery address
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address provided at checkout is correct and that someone is available to receive the order. Pizza & Co cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect addresses or missed deliveries.
5.4 Delivery charges
Delivery is charged at £7.50 per box to UK mainland addresses. One box holds up to 10kg. Where an order weighs more than 10kg, it is sent in more than one box, and each additional box is charged at a further £7.50. The number of boxes and the total delivery charge are calculated at checkout and displayed to you before you confirm your order. Delivery charges do not apply to orders collected in person (see 5.6).
5.5 Delivery areas
We deliver to addresses within mainland UK. We are unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, or BFPO addresses. Orders to these areas cannot be completed at checkout.
5.6 Collection
Collection from 2 Blind Lane, New Silksworth, Sunderland SR3 1AU may be selected at checkout, and no delivery charge applies to a collection order. Collection times must be arranged with us in advance by telephone on 0191 523 7878. Please do not travel to collect an order without first arranging a time.
6. Perishable goods & food safety
Our products are fresh/frozen food items with a limited shelf life. Upon receipt, you must:
- Check that packaging is intact and undamaged
- Refrigerate/freeze products immediately upon delivery
- Follow all storage and use-by instructions included with your order
- Consume the products within the timeframe stated on the packaging
Pizza & Co accepts no liability for products that deteriorate due to failure to follow storage or handling instructions after delivery.
7. Pricing & payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
Payment is taken at the point of order. We accept the payment methods listed on our website at the time of checkout.
8. Faulty or misdescribed goods
If your products arrive damaged, faulty, or materially different from their description, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at hello@pizza-co.uk with your order number and photographic evidence where possible. We will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, refund, or credit, in accordance with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pizza & Co’s total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Privacy & data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By placing an order, you consent to the use of your data as described therein.
11. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
